The airport in Vilnius was forced to suspend its operations due to an 'unidentified flying object' from Belarus. According to the national crisis management center, the Lithuanian military air forces detected an unidentified object approaching Lithuania from Belarus. However, no visual contact has been made with it.Currently, services are gathering more detailed information about this incident, and passengers are advised to contact the airline directly for up-to-date information on scheduled flights.Last week, the airport also faced a problem when a drone, launched at the request of the company Teltonika, caused a disruption in operations. This drone delayed the landing of a military transport aircraft carrying the President of Lithuania, Gitanas Nauseda. Such situations highlight the need for strict adherence to high safety standards at airports.
