Бізнесмен Міндіч затриманий у справі про корупційні схеми в Енергоатомі.

Decision of the High Anti-Corruption Court

The High Anti-Corruption Court has ruled to keep businessman Timur Mindich in custody, who is suspected of being involved in a corruption scheme related to 'Energoatom'. The hearing on the preventive measure took place without Mindich's participation, as he has left Ukraine, and his whereabouts are currently unknown.

During the session, issues regarding the contract for the purchase of bulletproof vests were also discussed, which was terminated due to the non-compliance of the product with the requirements. Rustem Umerov, who was the Minister of Defense at the time of communication with Mindich, noted:

“As a result, the contract was terminated due to non-compliance of the product with the requirements, and no product was delivered.” - Rustem Umerov

Alexander Tsukerman is also a figure in this case regarding 'Energoatom'.

Secrecy of the session and further actions

The court session was closed for 15 minutes to study materials that could harm national security. After choosing a preventive measure, information about Mindich may be forwarded to Interpol. Mindich's potential presence in Israel depends on local legislation and cooperation with Interpol.

This case is part of a broader fight against corruption in Ukraine, which has become especially relevant in the context of war and the need for transparent public procurement. It is noteworthy that corruption schemes in the defense sector can have serious consequences for national security, thus investigating such cases is a priority for the Ukrainian authorities.

The outcome of this case may affect not only the fate of the individuals involved but also Ukraine's overall image in the international community.
