The Supervisory Board decided to dismiss Vitaliy Zaychenko from the position of head of NEC 'Ukrenergo'
According to glavcom.ua: Currently, no details have been provided regarding the reasons for this step. All members of the company's board are temporarily fulfilling the duties of the head.
Vitaliy Zaychenko has worked at 'Ukrenergo' since the 1990s and has risen from an engineer to the chief dispatcher of the united energy system of Ukraine (since 2015). During the initial period of the full-scale Russian invasion, his professional skills helped transition the Ukrainian energy system to an isolated mode and connect it to the European ENTSO-E.
Thanks to the work of the team of dispatchers under the leadership of Vitaliy Zaychenko, the controllability of the Ukrainian energy system was maintained during Russian attacks on power plants and electricity transmission networks.
It should be noted that on September 2, 2024, the previous supervisory board decided to dismiss Volodymyr Kudrytsky from the position of head of NEC 'Ukrenergo'.
The Supervisory Board's decision to dismiss Vitaliy Zaychenko from the position of head of NEC 'Ukrenergo' was made without explanations regarding the reasons. A biased position or insufficient performance may be among the possible motives. The further development of events requires clarifications from the company and other parties.
