Vitinho's Move to Internacional Confirmed

According to Главком: Brazilian winger Vitinho will leave FC Dynamo Kyiv and officially join Brazilian Serie A club Internacional on July 1, 2024. He has signed a permanent contract that will run until June 30, 2030. Vitinho was eligible to sign with a new club from the beginning of 2024, a provision stemming from FIFA's special rules for foreign players in Ukraine.

Vitinho originally joined Dynamo Kyiv in the summer of 2021 for a transfer fee of €6 million. Before the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, he managed to make 13 appearances for the club across all competitions, scoring 3 goals. Following FIFA's ruling allowing foreign players in Ukraine to suspend their contracts, Vitinho left Kyiv. He subsequently spent several seasons back in Brazil on loan, playing for:

  • Athletico Paranaense
  • Red Bull Bragantino
  • Internacional

A New Chapter in His Career

This move marks a fresh start for Vitinho in his home country, where he aims to re-establish himself at a high competitive level. The transfer underscores the ongoing impact of the war on Ukrainian football, with many players seeking opportunities abroad. Vitinho's permanent switch to Internacional, where he was previously on loan, highlights a common path for players navigating these difficult circumstances while striving to advance their careers.
