Crash of a Ukrainian MiG-29 Fighter Jet

According to Главком: During the night of June 27, a Ukrainian MiG-29 fighter jet went down in the Poltava region. The pilot successfully ejected and was transported to a medical facility for evaluation and necessary care. Authorities report that communication with the aircraft was lost at night, but after ejecting, the pilot independently made contact with the search and rescue team.

Su-24M Crash

It is also worth noting a previous aviation disaster that occurred on June 16 around 7:00 PM. At that time, a Su-24M frontline bomber from the 7th Tactical Aviation Brigade named after Petro Franko crashed in the Shepetivka district of the Khmelnytskyi region. This accident claimed the lives of two pilots. A pre-trial investigation has been launched into the Su-24M crash under Part 2 of Article 416 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which addresses violations of flight rules or pre-flight preparations resulting in severe consequences.

These events highlight the challenges and risks Ukrainian military pilots face while carrying out their missions. The loss of two aircraft in a short period raises concerns about the condition of aviation equipment and flight safety.

Investigations into both incidents aim to prevent similar occurrences in the future and enhance safety protocols within the Ukrainian Air Force.

The recent crash of the MiG-29 adds to the pressing concerns regarding flight safety in the Ukrainian military.
