According to Рубрика — Суспільство: Shortly after midnight on August 13, several groups of Russian drones were observed moving toward Odesa Oblast, and by around 01:12, unmanned aerial vehicles were spotted near the city of Izmail. The subsequent strike hit port infrastructure in the Izmail district and started a fire. The Izmail district administration's operational headquarters acknowledged the incident, saying the enemy had attacked the district's port facilities again, leaving damage and a blaze in its wake. The overnight assault underscores the continuing threat Russian forces pose to critical port infrastructure in Ukraine's south.

Sumy Oblast Strike: What Is Known

On August 12, Russian forces carried out attacks on Sumy Oblast, leaving seven people injured over the course of the day. In the Seredyna-Buda community, mortar fire wounded three women and one man. A 61-year-old woman suffered injuries from a drone strike in the Shostka community, while a 62-year-old man was wounded in the Lebedyn community after being hit by a UAV. In the Hlukhiv community, an 81-year-old man was hurt when his motorized cultivator ran over an explosive device.

Chernihiv Oblast Also Targeted

In the Chernihiv district, fires broke out at an outbuilding, a fuel station, and areas of dry vegetation after enemy drones came down. In the city of Chernihiv, a drone landed on the grounds of a vehicle cooperative, causing two garages to catch fire, destroying one car, and damaging other garage units. A 10-year-old child experienced a mild stress reaction as a result of the incident. Rescuers contained and extinguished all fires in the region.

These latest attacks across Ukraine reflect an escalation of the conflict and a growing danger to civilian populations. Damage to vital infrastructure, particularly ports and residential areas, has a serious effect on regional economies and public safety.
