Internal Opposition: Zelensky Prepares Actions Against Arahamia – Sources

People's Deputy Oleksiy Honcharenko published information about possible actions of President Volodymyr Zelensky against the internal opposition, particularly the persecution of the head of the 'Servant of the People' faction, Davyd Arahamia. The political situation is also focused on the case of Timur Mindich, which has posed a challenge for Zelensky.

According to data released by Honcharenko, a possible scenario for suppressing the internal opposition may be implemented on November 20. On the same day, a meeting between President Zelensky and the faction is scheduled for 20:00. Arahamia reportedly issued a statement on November 19, which may indicate tension within the faction.

The case of Timur Mindich, known as 'Operation Midas,' draws attention to the financial flows that Arahamia controlled in the gas and energy sectors. According to reports, the NABU is investigating possible embezzlement of around $100 million, which has become a serious challenge for the president. The scheme under investigation involved 'kickbacks' ranging from 10% to 15%, raising concerns among faction representatives.

Political Situation and Anti-Corruption Actions

It is worth noting that a 'coalition of the decisive' has formed in the Verkhovna Rada, demanding the resignation of Andriy Yermak. Individual representatives of the faction have expressed their views on the situation in parliament. However, as Honcharenko noted, this is the statement of individual people’s deputies, not the position of the entire faction or party.

Former Defense Minister Rustem Umerov has traveled to Turkey, and later to the USA, which may be linked to political changes in Ukraine.

We support the effective actions of the NABU, SAP, and the entire anti-corruption infrastructure in the fight against corruption. Our position remains unchanged – those guilty must be held accountable regardless of their status or position.

Oleksiy Honcharenko

The situation surrounding Arahamia and Mindich indicates serious internal conflicts within the ruling faction, which may affect political stability in Ukraine. The intensification of anti-corruption actions also demonstrates the authorities' desire to restore public trust amid increasing dissatisfaction from certain deputies and the public. It is important to observe the further steps of the president and the reaction of parliament in the face of these challenges.
