According to Прокуратура Київ: A court has handed down a verdict against the driver of a BMW who struck and killed a 26-year-old man on the Darnytskyi Bridge in October 2022. The driver was found guilty of breaking road safety regulations in a way that caused the victim's death. His sentence includes 6 years in prison and a 3-year ban on driving.

The fatal crash happened while the BMW was heading toward Naddniprianske Highway at 149 km/h, far above the 50 km/h limit. As the BMW driver braked and swerved to the left, he hit the man standing near the rear of one of those vehicles.
