Certainly, getting to this spot requires some effort. The road to Huk Zhenets waterfall is an interesting journey in itself. The most popular route starts from the village of Tatariv or the settlement of Mykulychyn. A convenient trail about 4 kilometers long leads from the road to the waterfall. It can be traversed on foot or partially by bike. The path goes through dense forest, where you can see enormous spruces, hear the birds sing, and breathe in the pure mountain air.

The route is not very complicated, making it suitable for tourists of all ages. Even families with children can easily reach the waterfall. Along the trail, there are areas for rest, gazebos, and places for photographs. The journey takes about one hour of a leisurely walk, but the impressions from this path last for a long time.

Where is it Located and How to Get There?

Getting to the waterfall is not difficult, but this journey should be well planned in advance.

Huk Zhenets is located in the Ivano-Frankivsk region, between the settlement of Mykulychyn and the village of Tatariv. It is part of the Carpathian National Nature Park. The nearest large city is Yaremcha, which has developed infrastructure and good transport connections.

You can get to the waterfall in several ways. The most convenient option is by car. From Ivano-Frankivsk, you should take the N-09 highway towards Yaremcha, then continue to the village of Tatariv. There are signs along the road leading to the beginning of the route. Near the entrance to the forest, there is a parking area where you can leave your vehicle.

You can also use public transport. Buses and minibuses regularly run from Ivano-Frankivsk to Yaremcha and Tatariv. In addition, you can take a train as there is a railway station in Tatariv. From there, you can walk or take a taxi to the beginning of the route.

Tourists are advised to wear comfortable shoes, as the path goes through a forest trail. Although the route is not hard, the ground can be slippery after rain. It is also advisable to have drinking water and light snacks with you, as there are no shops in the forest.
