Volodymyr Bebeshko Faces a Challenging Chapter

According to Radiotrek — Світ: Volodymyr Bebeshko, a celebrated musician and producer closely connected to the late Kuzma Skryabin, is navigating a difficult period in his life. Three years ago, he suffered a stroke and has since been undergoing rehabilitation in Warsaw, Poland. During this time, Bebeshko transformed his lifestyle and diet, shedding 30 kilograms by cutting out fatty foods, sweets, dairy products, and regular bread. He now bakes his own gluten-free bread and has replaced coffee with black tea.

Currently, Bebeshko receives a Ukrainian pension of 3,500 hryvnias and supplements his daily expenses with personal savings. His weight has dropped from 120 to 80 kilograms, and his blood pressure is stabilized at 120/80. As part of his recovery, he walks at least 3 kilometers every day.

Life’s Trials and Creative Persistence

Throughout his life, Volodymyr has endured significant challenges. In the 1980s, during the Soviet era, he was imprisoned for involvement in 'fartsovka' (illegal trading). While incarcerated, he married Vika Vradiy, known as 'Sestrichka Vika.' Later, he wed jazz artist Sasha Belina. Today, Bebeshko operates a modest studio in Warsaw where he continues to craft remixes of Kuzma Skryabin’s work alongside other musical projects.

“I’m drawing from what I earned in the past,” he shared.

Despite hardships, Bebeshko remains active in the music scene, striving to honor his past and keep alive the memories of his friends. His resilience and dedication to his art serve as an inspiration to many.

Relocating to Warsaw has opened new doors for collaboration with fellow musicians and ongoing creative endeavors, underscoring the vital role that music plays in his recovery and life. Bebeshko’s journey highlights how adaptability and passion can sustain artistic expression even through profound personal challenges.
