Enemy Exploits Social Media to Gather Intel on Ukrzaliznytsia Facilities and Military Cargo – Do Not Comply
Enemy Intelligence Threat via Social Networks
According to ХВИЛЯ: Hostile forces are actively using social media platforms and messaging apps to collect sensitive information about the locations of Ukrzaliznytsia facilities and the movement of military shipments. Ukrainians are strongly urged to refuse any requests for such details, even if financial incentives are offered. These solicitations often come through social networks, messenger services, or acquaintances. The perpetrators may disguise their demands as 'anonymous tasks,' asking for photos of railway infrastructure or GPS coordinates, especially following attacks.
Ukrzaliznytsia's Response and Precautions
The adversary is also seeking information about military cargo transfers and may encourage actions aimed at damaging railway property. Ukrzaliznytsia emphasizes:
"The enemy is attempting to obtain data on Ukrzaliznytsia’s installations, their locations, conditions, and the transit of military goods. Such intelligence could be exploited to orchestrate further strikes on railway infrastructure." – Ukrzaliznytsia
In light of this, any suspicious inquiries should be reported anonymously via the Telegram bot 'SBU / Hotline: Railway.' Additionally, reports can be made by phone through WhatsApp, Telegram, or Viber at +38 (099) 803 50 81. The recent Russian missile strike on a train in Volyn highlights the ongoing risks facing railway assets. Ukrzaliznytsia urges everyone: "Do not share information or cooperate with these requests. Do not aid the enemy."
This situation underscores the critical need for vigilance and security awareness amid ongoing military conflict. The enemy’s heightened use of information technologies to destabilize Ukraine through data gathering demonstrates the complex nature of modern warfare. Citizens must remain alert and avoid falling prey to provocations, as their actions could have severe consequences for national security.
