According to the head of the Odesa Regional State Administration, Oleg Kiper, on the night of July 24, Russian occupiers staged a real offensive using drones in the city. Even air defense could not prevent damage to civilian infrastructure. As a result of the attack, several houses, trade kiosks, and gas stations caught fire in Odesa. It also became known that historical monuments in the city center, which is a UNESCO heritage site, were damaged.
Odesa's mayor, Hennadiy Trukhanov, emphasized that the strike was carried out on Primorsky Boulevard. Information about the casualties is still unknown, and all services have begun rescue operations to mitigate the consequences of the attack by Russian troops.
