Application Launch for Housing Vouchers Announced

According to Кабмін: The eRestoration program has officially opened its application process for housing vouchers, targeting internally displaced persons (IDPs) from temporarily occupied territories. This initiative enables Ukrainians recognized as combat participants or individuals with war-related disabilities to access housing support through vouchers.

Program Conditions and Procedures

Under this program, eligible recipients can receive a voucher worth 2 million hryvnias. Approximately 3,300 families are expected to benefit from the initiative. Applications must be submitted through the 'Diia' online platform. Once submitted, applicants will receive a confirmation within 5 days after verification. Upon approval, they have 60 days to finalize a property purchase agreement with any notary public.

Recipients are given 60 days to sign a housing purchase contract. If the allocated funds remain unused, they return to the operator's account and are redirected to the next applicants in the queue.

Ukrposhta handles the financial verification process for voucher issuance. The eRestoration program also allows the voucher to be used for:

  • purchasing an apartment or house;
  • investing in construction;
  • repaying a mortgage loan.

This program aims to support internally displaced persons who have faced hardships due to the war by providing financial assistance for housing. It also contributes to rebuilding Ukraine's housing sector by channeling funds into home purchases or new construction. Given the high demand for housing among IDPs, this initiative could serve as a crucial step in restoring social stability across the country.
