Combat Medic Who Saved 130 Soldiers Killed in Action in Donetsk Region

The Service and Death of Serhii Frolenko

According to МВС: On September 2, 2024, combat medic Serhii Frolenko lost his life while evacuating wounded soldiers. He served with the "Silver Three" unit of the "Revenge" brigade, part of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine. Throughout his service, Frolenko saved more than 130 soldiers, carrying out his duties to the very end and remaining true to both his medical oath and military oath.

Before the full-scale invasion, Frolenko worked as a doctor at the Odesa Regional Hospital. He joined the border guards in March 2022. His comrades remember him as someone whose presence brought calm, and they emphasize that he fought to save every life.

Remembering Serhii Frolenko

In addition to his service, Serhii once rescued a wounded raccoon from the Serebryansky Forest, and the day before his death, the raccoon escaped back into the woods. He also took in a kitten named Vasyl, which now lives with the combat medics of the "Silver Three" unit. In memory of Serhii Frolenko, the "Candle of Remembrance" project has been launched, initiated by the Order of St. Panteleimon. Eternal memory to Serhii Frolenko, a soldier who saved others until his last breath.
