Admission Campaign 2026: The National Multi-Subject Test Will Replace the State Final Attestation and Will Be Conducted in One Day
Changes in the Admission Campaign for 2026
Deputies of the Verkhovna Rada have adopted law No. 13650, which defines the format of the admission campaign for 2026. According to the new legislation, the National Multi-Subject Test (NMТ) will replace the traditional State Final Attestation (DPA) and will take place in one day. This decision has been made for security reasons and the need to ensure equal access to educational services.
Tests for Applicants
Next year, applicants will have to take tests in:
- Ukrainian language
- Mathematics
- History of Ukraine
- One subject of choice:
- Foreign language
- Biology
- Geography
- Physics
- Chemistry
- Ukrainian literature
Serhiy Babak clarified that in 2026, education seekers will not take the State Final Attestation, which significantly changes the traditional approach to assessing the knowledge of graduates. These innovations are aimed at simplifying the process of admission to higher education institutions and adapting it to current conditions.
The changes made to the format of the admission campaign reflect the aspiration of Ukrainian education towards modernization and adaptation to new challenges. The implementation of the NMТ aims not only to simplify the procedure but also to ensure greater transparency and objectivity in assessing the knowledge of applicants. This step may significantly impact the further development of the educational system in Ukraine, considering the new realities and needs of society.
