Assessment of Enemy Combat Losses
According to Кабмін: Ukraine's Armed Forces General Staff has published updated estimates of total Russian combat losses sustained from February 24, 2022, through April 2, 2026. These figures, which are subject to verification, indicate that approximately 1,300,030 personnel have been lost, with 1,300 of those casualties occurring in the most recent reporting period. These staggering numbers highlight the immense human cost of the ongoing conflict.

- Tanks: 11,830 units (+2)
- Armored Combat Vehicles: 24,334 units (+7)
- Artillery Systems: 39,228 units (+59)

Automotive equipment and tanker trucks lost amount to 86,773 units (+195), with an additional 4,107 units of special equipment destroyed. The scale of these equipment losses represents a severe depletion of Russia's conventional military assets, which were built up over decades.
The figures reflect the intensity and protracted nature of the fighting over this four-year period. The severe attrition of both personnel and matériel is likely to have a long-term impact on Russia's military structure and its capacity to wage war. Such substantial losses may also influence the domestic political situation within Russia and affect its standing and support on the international stage.
