YouTube blocked the channel of fugitive MP Dmytruk in Ukraine
According to glavcom.ua: YouTube has blocked two more channels in Ukraine that disseminated information aligned with Russian propaganda. They were associated with individuals under sanctions. This was reported by 'Hlavkom' referring to the Center for Counteracting Disinformation.
A new channel of former MP Igor Mosiychuk, which regularly broadcast messages consistent with Russian propaganda, has been blocked. The channel of Artem Dmytruk, who is suspected of illegal crossing of the state border, is also blocked; he is a suspect in a criminal case and is on the international wanted list.
Sanctions have been imposed on both individuals by the National Security and Defense Council, enacted by decrees of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky dated May 25 and June 22, 2025.
Notably, President Volodymyr Zelensky introduced new sanctions against individuals and companies conducting business in temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. Among those listed are fugitive MPs Artem Dmytruk and Oleksandr Onyshchenko.
Ukrainian YouTube continues to combat propaganda and disinformation by blocking channels that disseminate harmful content. The introduction of sanctions against individuals violating the law and supporting occupation is another step in strengthening sovereignty and combating aggression on the territory of Ukraine.
