New assistance for childbirth in Ukraine
According to ХВИЛЯ: From January 1, 2026, a new one-time assistance for childbirth of 50 thousand hryvnias will be introduced in Ukraine, which is already available for registration. This initiative aims to support young families during the birth of a child.
Application for assistance
The assistance for childbirth amounts to 50 thousand hryvnias. Parents can apply for this assistance through the 'eMalyatko' service in the 'Diia' app or in person at the offices of the Pension Fund of Ukraine. This innovation is intended to simplify the process of obtaining financial support for young mothers and fathers.
According to Lyudmyla Shemelinets, 'since the technical implementation of the program may take some time, if you want to apply for assistance today, then you need to contact the Pension Fund.'
The introduction of new assistance for childbirth is an important step in supporting families in Ukraine, especially under demographic challenges. Given that the application process for assistance can be simplified through digital services, this also indicates the government's desire to adapt social programs to modern technologies. However, parents should be cautious and not delay applying, using available opportunities to receive assistance right now.
