Despite Russian strikes on printing houses and storage depots, every educational institution must be fully operational by September 1, and students must receive all required textbooks. The safety of children and educators continues to be the main focus. Work on bomb shelters is moving forward, and communities are being supplied with school buses. The country's education sector has been severely stressed by the conflict, making these preparations particularly urgent.

New Measures in Education Starting September

From September 1, teacher salaries will rise by 20%, and student scholarships are set to double. Additionally, over three million schoolchildren will receive free meals.

Koretskyi noted: "Our number one priority is the safety of children and school staff. We are pressing ahead with shelter construction and the delivery of school buses to communities."

The prime minister also instructed that all necessary preparations for the upcoming school year be completed, and any remaining issues be resolved. He emphasized that "all matters still requiring attention must be settled before the school year begins." This information was released on Koretskyi's Telegram channel on August 7, 2026.
