Starting from 2026, a unified ticket for all types of transport will be introduced in Ukraine

The Ministry of Community and Territorial Development of Ukraine has approved a unified form of tickets for all types of public transport. The new rules will come into effect on January 1, 2026. This applies to urban and suburban bus routes, intercity and international bus routes, as well as trams, trolleybuses, and the metro.

All tickets, both paper and electronic, must contain information about the cost, registration number, date and time of the trip, carrier details, as well as information about the insurance contract and insurer.

Details of ticket usage for different types of transport

For buses on urban and suburban routes, an electronic ticket may be provided to the passenger via smartphone display, QR code, email, or mobile application. On suburban routes, a baggage receipt may also be issued if transporting oversized cargo.

In the case of intercity buses, the ticket must contain complete information about the route, and on international routes, the ticket must be personalized.

The electronic ticket for electric transport has become mandatory. To use it, one can use a QR code, mobile application, email, or personal account.
