Mass inspections of meters in apartments: who faces fines of up to 100 thousand

Utility services plan to conduct a large-scale inspection of metering devices in all apartments. This information comes from 'Suspilne Lviv'. Water, gas, electricity, and heating meters will be checked. Some management companies will notify residents in advance about the arrival of inspectors.

If apartment owners refuse to provide access to the meters for inspection, they may be fined. The specific amount of the fine has not yet been determined.

One such company - 'Lvivteploenergo' - has announced the necessity of conducting quick measurement inspections. This activity is explained by the fact that since the beginning of Russian aggression, such inspections have been almost non-existent.

Those found to have signs of unlawful interference with the operation of the meters will be punished particularly harshly. In these cases, the fine can reach up to 100 thousand hryvnias.
