Ceasefire Violations Surge to 2,299 in 24 Hours as Frontline Fighting Intensifies

According to Главком: Combat activity escalated significantly over the past day, with Ukrainian forces reporting 120 separate clashes. By the end of the day, a total of 1,723 ceasefire violations had been recorded, including:
- 25 assault actions
- 365 artillery strikes
- 566 kamikaze drone strikes
- 767 FPV drone strikes
This intense pace of fighting continued, and by 7:00 AM on April 12, 2026, the total number of ceasefire violations had risen sharply to 2,299. This new figure breaks down as follows:
- 28 assault actions
- 479 artillery strikes
- 747 kamikaze drone strikes
- 1,045 FPV drone strikes
These figures highlight the relentless nature of the conflict, now in its 1,509th day of full-scale war. The widespread use of various drone types has become a defining feature of modern combat in this theater.
Attacks Across Multiple Frontline Sectors
Enemy forces launched attacks across numerous sectors of the front. On the Northern-Slobozhanskyi and Kursk directions, the adversary attacked five times and conducted 46 bombardments, six of which employed multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS). On the Southern-Slobozhanskyi direction, the enemy made five attempts to breach defenses near Staritsa, Veterinaryne, Prylipka, and Vovchanski Khutory. In the Kupiansk direction, four attacks were directed towards Petropavlivka and Novoosynove.
The Lyman sector saw nine enemy attempts to penetrate defenses near Zarichne, as well as towards Shiykivka, Drobyasheve, and Lyman itself. On the Sloviansk direction, four attempts to advance near Platonivka and towards Rai-Oleksandrivka were halted. The Kostiantynivka direction was the scene of 21 attacks near Kostiantynivka, Pleshiivka, Illinivka, Ivanopillia, Rusinyi Yar, Sofiyivka, and Novopavlivka.
On the Pokrovsk direction, 22 assault actions were repelled in the areas of Rodynske, Dorozhnie, Myrnohrad, Udachne, Novomykolaivka, Molodetske, and Novopavlivka. Furthermore, on the Oleksandrivsk direction, the enemy attacked six times near Novohryhorivka, Ternove, and towards Pryvillia. The Huliaipole direction experienced seven attacks near Solodke, Olenokostiantynivka, Zaliznychne, Myrne, towards Charivne, and Huliaipilske. On the Prydniprovskyi direction, the enemy conducted three offensive actions towards the Antonivskyi Bridge and Bilohrudyi Island.
In response, Ukrainian Defense Forces aviation struck three areas where enemy personnel and equipment were concentrated, as well as two unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) control points. The frontline situation remains critical, with a growing number of combat engagements and ceasefire violations. The intensification of hostilities points to a potential increase in tension between the warring parties, necessitating close monitoring. The continued use of drones and rocket artillery underscores an escalation in military actions, which could have serious humanitarian consequences for the local population. Ukrainian defense forces continue to take measures to halt the enemy's advance, demonstrating the resilience of Ukrainian troops under sustained pressure.
