According to Главком: Over the past day, 21 settlements in Ukraine's Kharkiv region were shelled, resulting in two deaths and two injuries. The attacks damaged civilian infrastructure across several districts of the region. This northeastern area, bordering Russia, has been a frequent target since the full-scale invasion began in 2022.

The two men killed, aged 27 and 56, were emergency medical workers who died near the village of Chervona Khvyla. In the same settlement, a 54-year-old man, also a medical service employee, was wounded. Separately, a 63-year-old woman was injured in the city of Kupiansk.

Weapons Used and Damage Incurred

The assailants employed a variety of weaponry, including guided aerial bombs (KABs), 26 unmanned aerial vehicles of various types, and 6 first-person-view (FPV) drones. Damage to civilian objects was recorded in multiple districts of Kharkiv Oblast:

  • In the Bohodukhiv district:
    • 5 private houses
    • 3 farm buildings
    • a garage in the village of Oleksiivka
    • four private houses and a car in the village of Pokrovka
  • In the Kupiansk district:
    • A civilian enterprise in the settlement of Prykolotne
    • 3 private houses and 2 farm buildings in the village of Spodobivka
    • A car in the village of Nova Oleksandrivka
  • Izium district:
    • 2 private houses and farm buildings in the settlement of Borova
  • In the Kharkiv district:
    • A private house and a car in the village of Ruska Lozova
    • A warehouse in the settlement of Solonytsivka
    • A private house and a community club in the village of Hryhorivka
  • In the Chuhuiv district:
    • Power lines in the village of Kochetok
    • A private house in the village of Khotimlia

These attacks are part of an ongoing escalation of violence in the region that has persisted for several months. The targeting of civilian objects and medical personnel underscores the severe risks faced by the population in this armed conflict. Such incidents can have serious consequences for the humanitarian situation, increasing the need for medical aid and support for victims. Restoring infrastructure and ensuring safety remain critical tasks for local authorities and international organizations.
