Monthly Drowning Toll

Since the beginning of May this year, the total number of drowning victims across the country has reached 49, including three children. These figures highlight the urgent need for strict adherence to water safety guidelines.

Such tragedies underscore the critical importance of observing safety rules while near water, especially during the summer months when the number of visitors to lakes, rivers, and ponds increases sharply. Authorities and rescue services are urging the public to exercise caution and not ignore safety measures in order to prevent similar incidents in the future.

In light of the recent surge in water-related fatalities, it is crucial to understand the broader context of these tragedies. Just yesterday, another report indicated that six individuals lost their lives in similar circumstances, emphasizing the urgent need for heightened awareness and preventive measures during the summer season. Ensuring safety near water bodies is more important than ever, as the risks continue to escalate.
