Declared 26 million UAH salary for the year: case of the press secretary of the Zmiiv City Council

In the declaration of the press secretary of the Zmiiv City Council for 2024, information appeared about almost 26 million UAH salary. The city council stated that this is not about real income but rather a technical error during the reporting process. This is reported by Gwara Media.

The head of the Zmiiv community, Pavlo Holodnikov, reported that the error occurred due to incorrect data display in the electronic declaration system. According to him, the actual income amount was specified with kopecks, but the system displayed it without a decimal separator.

Declared incomes of the Zmiiv City Council: what happened

According to the published declaration, the main specialist in the sector for highlighting the activities of the Zmiiv City Council, Tetiana Salova, indicated an income of 25 million 957 thousand 792 UAH. This amount immediately attracted attention as it significantly exceeds typical salaries of local government officials.

The city council emphasized that the actual income was:

• 259 thousand 577 UAH 92 kopecks for 2024.

Technical error in the declaration: position of the city authorities

Pavlo Holodnikov explained that due to the lack of technical ability to make changes, the declaration currently remains in the system with erroneous figures. According to him, the error occurred automatically, without any intent on the part of the official.

In response, the city council noted that the situation is purely technical and is not related to obtaining super profits or violating laws.
