20-year-old paramedic died in Kherson region: the story of Roman Okhrimenko
According to Міністерство Здоров'я: Roman Okhrimenko, known among the fighters by the call sign 'Okhrim', died in the war a day before his 20th birthday. He was from the city of Bilopillia in the Sumy region and graduated from a professional college, where he obtained the profession of a paramedic. He joined the ranks of the Defenders at the end of summer 2021. On the battlefield, he provided medical assistance to wounded soldiers and performed tasks to liberate the Kherson region. Unfortunately, he received a severe injury and died on October 15, 2022, exactly one day before his birthday.
To commemorate fallen medics, a project 'Light of Memory' has been launched, which is implemented by the Order of Saint Panteleimon together with the National Scientific Medical Library of Ukraine and other partners.
