Western Armies in Ukraine: Can Europe Become a Security Guarantee
According to Студия Руслана Бизяева: The discussion on the possibility of deploying Western allies' troops in Ukraine as a security guarantee faces a cold analysis of the real capabilities of European armies. Experts point out that only the United Kingdom, France, and Germany possess the main potential.
According to Admiral Radakin, the United Kingdom is ready to immediately deploy 7,500 troops, which is only one and a half brigades by the scale of modern warfare. France is facing logistical problems: with a need for 800-900 ground refueling vehicles, it currently has only 358 combat-ready ones.
Technological Challenges and Adaptation
The technological challenges of modern warfare raise doubts about the effectiveness of expensive systems. For example, the cost of a shot from the Spike ATGM on the German Puma infantry fighting vehicle reaches $200,000, and deploying a new Brigade of the Bundeswehr costs 8-9 billion euros just for equipment. However, they can be stopped on the battlefield by mass drones.
