The new lobbying law: what will change for businesses and officials
The lobbying law in Ukraine
Recently, the Ukrainian parliament adopted a lobbying law. This law establishes rules for those who wish to influence decision-making by the authorities through lobbying. It defines who can be a lobbyist, who the client is (i.e., the user of lobbyists' services), and what their efforts can be directed toward.
This law also contains rules for cooperation among all participants in lobbying and defines their powers. Its adoption contributes to the creation of a transparent system for influencing the adoption of laws and government decisions.
The rules of lobbying are becoming more transparent and regulated thanks to the new law, which will promote greater openness and interaction between the public and government authorities in Ukraine.
