The launch of e-excise has been postponed to 2026: what is known about the reasons
Postponement of the e-excise launch deadlines
The launch of the electronic excise tax mark has been postponed to November 1, 2026. This decision was made at a meeting of the working group of the Financial Committee of the Verkhovna Rada.
The mandatory e-marking of excise goods has also been postponed to November 1, 2026, instead of January 1. This is due to the need to prepare market participants and minimize risks for legal businesses and consumers.
We invite experts and all interested parties to join the discussion of the document and provide their proposals for the most effective changes in the market.
The implementation of the e-marking reform is an important step in creating a transparent market, combating the shadow economy, and protecting consumer rights. Detailed information about the process will be published on the Ministry of Finance's website for public discussion.
During the working group of the Financial Committee of the Verkhovna Rada, it was decided to postpone the launch of the electronic excise tax mark and mandatory e-marking for 10 months. This will allow preparing market participants for the implementation of changes and reduce risks for legal businesses and consumers.
