Salaries of Ukrainians in Poland at the level of 1000 euros: how much Poles are paid
Ukrainians working in Poland earn an average of 973 euros per month. This is less than in most other European countries and significantly lower than the incomes of the Poles themselves, whose average salary is 1227 euros. This is reported by Delo.ua citing a report from UNHCR.
Research shows that even Ukrainians with higher education often hold low-skilled positions. Because of this, the income gap between refugees and citizens of EU countries remains significant. At the same time, in Poland, this difference is one of the smallest in Europe – only 254 euros.
Salaries of Ukrainians and Poles in Poland: key figures
According to a survey, in Poland Ukrainian workers earn an average of 973 euros, while Poles earn 1227 euros. For comparison, in Germany, citizens earn 1475 euros more than Ukrainian refugees. Ukrainians have the highest incomes in the UK and Norway – about 2000 euros, while the lowest are in Bulgaria and Romania, approximately 600 euros per month.

Ukrainians in the labor market of Poland: scale and trends
Ukrainians make up 67% of all foreigners employed in the Polish economy, which is about 5% of the total number of workers in the country. According to ZUS, in November 2025, more than 862,000 Ukrainian citizens were insured in Poland.
Ukrainians most often work in logistics, services, manufacturing, construction, and transportation. Analysts note that migrants are increasingly choosing employers with social guarantees and development prospects rather than just temporary employment. This gradually changes the role of Ukrainians in the labor market in Poland.
