Teachers' salaries will double: who and when will payments be increased

According to hvylya.net: Starting from September 1, 2025, in Ukraine, the additional payments for teachers for special working conditions will double, said Andriy Stashkiv, the Deputy Minister of Education and Science.

Beginning from September 1, 2025, Ukrainian teachers will receive increased compensation for working in difficult conditions - it will be doubled compared to the current amount.

Currently, each educator receives an additional payment of 1300 hryvnias for work in special conditions, but starting this fall, this amount will increase to 2600 hryvnias per month. The funding for this program was secured by the government in advance - in the previous year, 12 billion hryvnias were reserved.

According to Stashkiv, this additional payment is support for all teachers in Ukraine, regardless of their workload. All employees of educational institutions who hold teaching positions, including lecturers, school leaders, and their deputies, have the right to receive such payments.

According to the announced plans, starting from 2025, teachers in Ukraine will receive a double additional payment for working in difficult conditions. This may serve as an incentive for educators to continue working in the education sector and improve the quality of education in the country's schools.
