UN adopts resolution on deported children: Ukraine calls for their return

According to МЗС: At the UN General Assembly debates, Deputy Foreign Minister Maryana Beza urged the return of Ukrainian children while presenting a draft resolution initiated by Ukraine together with 48 co-sponsoring countries. This resolution was supported by 91 UN member states.

As of October 2025, more than 6 thousand Ukrainian children have been deported or forcibly displaced, and an investigation into more than 20 thousand similar cases is still ongoing. 'There cannot be a just peace in Ukraine without the return of all Ukrainian children. This resolution is not about politics. It is about humanity. Children should not be a subject of trade,' emphasized Maryana Beza.
