Ukraine and Latvia are preparing joint defense industry projects for 2026: meeting details

According to Мін. Оборони: Today, representatives of Ukraine and Latvia met to discuss joint projects in the defense industry for next year. Ukrainians provided detailed information to their Latvian colleagues about the security situation in the country and the threats posed by Russia.

“We are preparing for an important 2026 and are grateful to Latvia for its support. Our cooperation is very important,” emphasized Deputy Minister of Defense Serhiy Boyev.

He also expressed gratitude for the transfer of 42 Patria armored personnel carriers in quality addition.

The Ukrainian Deputy Minister of Defense held a meeting with the State Secretary of the Ministry of Defense of Latvia to discuss joint projects in the defense industry and to gain support for the next year. The parties discussed current threats from the Russian Federation and the pleasant assistance from Latvia, including the transfer of armored personnel carriers.
