Details of the Oschadbank Guards' Detention

According to Главком: Gennadiy Kuznetsov, an Oschadbank security officer detained in Hungary, has revealed disturbing details of his custody. According to Kuznetsov, the guards were kept in shackles for over 28 hours. The incident began in early March when they were taken to an Anti-Terrorist Center facility. During this time, their heads were covered with bags or balaclavas, and the shackles were only removed at the Zahony-Chop border crossing. This case highlights the complex geopolitical tensions in the region, where financial and security operations are often scrutinized.

Kuznetsov stated that throughout the detention, they were denied access to consular assistance and lawyers.

"When we requested consular support and legal services, they told us the consul had refused us and would not come, and that they could not find any lawyers," he explained.

Paperwork was processed without explanation, with translations provided only in Russian. All documents were handed to the shackled detainees without any opportunity for review.

Forced Medical Intervention and Psychological Pressure

During his detention, Kuznetsov was subjected to forced medical intervention, receiving one injection followed by another intravenous injection at a hospital.

"After I refused to participate in the investigative actions, a measure of forced medical influence was applied to me," said Kuznetsov.

His condition deteriorated after the injection, necessitating hospitalization. Other members of the team also endured psychological pressure and physical violence.

Kuznetsov expressed confusion over the reasons for their detention: "What they wanted from our team is completely unclear... the cargo was cleared according to European rules and was in the customs services' database." Initially turned back at the border, they were later allowed to cross. The incident has raised significant concern among human rights advocates and diplomats, who are monitoring the situation closely.

This case underscores the critical importance of upholding human rights during detentions and ensuring access to legal aid. The detention of Kuznetsov and his colleagues could lead to serious international repercussions if the alleged rights violations are confirmed. The response from rights groups and diplomats indicates growing scrutiny and the potential for formal inquiries by international bodies.

In a related development, the recent release of seven Ukrainian bank cashiers detained in Hungary during a currency transport raises questions about the treatment of individuals in similar situations. This incident underscores the ongoing complexities and potential injustices within the region's financial operations.
