Train delays due to shelling

The night shelling of railway infrastructure by Russian troops has resulted in significant delays in the movement of some trains. However, railway workers are not resting and are working to restore movement, while passengers receive the necessary assistance. This information was provided by Ukrzaliznytsia, reported by Hlavkom.

Some of the trains that now have to detour the damaged section are already approaching their final stations, and returns may also be delayed. Passengers of train No.119/120 Dnipro - Chełm received buses waiting for them in Chełm for further travel to Lublin and Warsaw.

Passengers from the Dnipro direction received about 1500 portions of food from World Central Kitchen. Thanks to this, railway workers managed to feed passengers during the journey in crisis conditions.

In addition, railway workers have prepared reserve locomotives for trains on damaged sections, but delays will continue until the infrastructure is fully restored, especially for trains with long routes. The Intercity+ train No.731 Zaporizhzhia - Kyiv will also arrive in the capital late due to these delays.

The message states: "Today proves: the experience of railway workers during the full-scale invasion and effective protocols in crisis situations serve faithfully, trains continue to run despite attempts by the enemy to harm."

Ukrzaliznytsia urges passengers to follow updates on official pages and check notifications in the application. Currently, due to shelling by Russian troops, there are train delays in some directions, but some flights are already laying new routes. To restore movement on damaged sections, 20 reserve locomotives are involved.

After the night shelling of railway infrastructure by Russian troops in Ukraine, some trains are experiencing significant delays. However, railway workers are actively correcting the situation and trying to provide passengers with the necessary services during their trips. Bus transportation and food provision help passengers to cope with delays and restore normal movement.
