Flight delays at Moscow airports

According to Главком: Flight delays at Moscow airports have occurred due to drone attacks and power outages in the towns of the Moscow region. In the capital of Russia, more than 60 flights were delayed, causing significant inconvenience for passengers. Rosaviatsiya has taken control of the situation at Moscow's aviation hub, emphasizing the importance of adhering to passenger rights and federal aviation regulations during delays.

Causes of delays and government response

On December 31, a large-scale power outage occurred in Domodedovo, and on December 30, an emergency outage in the town of Ramenskoye left 100 thousand people without electricity. Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin reported that the Russian air defense allegedly shot down drones flying towards the capital of the Russian Federation. The situation remains tense, but the authorities are taking measures to stabilize it.

Flight delays at Moscow airports indicate serious problems in infrastructure and security that may affect air transport in the region. The authorities have committed to taking necessary measures to resolve the situation; however, the consequences of such incidents could have a lasting impact on passenger trust and the overall stability of air travel in Russia.

At the same time, the continued use of drones for military purposes raises the threat level to civilian infrastructure, which may lead to further delays and emergencies.
