The number of border crossings through which buses can leave Ukraine has increased
According to glavcom.ua: At the border with Romania, buses will be able to cross the 'Diakivtsi - Rakovec' checkpoint. The decision was made according to an agreement between Ukraine and Romania and will be in effect from July 9 to September 30. This is a response to the increase in passenger traffic during the summer season.
«Diakivtsi - Rakovec» is a new round-the-clock checkpoint opened in 2023 in the Chernivtsi region. Currently, in addition to pedestrians, passenger cars, and trucks up to 7.5 tons, large capacity buses will also be serviced here, regardless of their size.
To exit Ukraine through this checkpoint, registration in the eQueues system will be required. Meanwhile, from other checkpoints, restrictions on buses remain; for example, at the 'Solotvyno - Sighetu Marmației' checkpoint, repair work will be carried out, temporarily suspending the processing of vehicles.
As a result of the agreement between Ukraine and Romania, buses will be able to use the new 'Diakivtsi - Rakovec' checkpoint at the border. This will be a relief for summer travelers when the number of passengers crossing the border increases. It is also emphasized that other checkpoints remain limited for buses due to ongoing repair work and infrastructure restrictions.
