Ukraine has harvested over 29 million tons of grain: who leads in the agricultural sector
According to hvylya.net: Ukraine has already harvested 29,150 thousand tons of grain crops on an area of 7,007.9 thousand hectares, which is 62% of the total area sown with these crops. This information comes from the Ministry of Economy, Environment, and Agriculture of Ukraine.
According to the data from the ministry, a total of:
- Wheat – 22,189.8 thousand tons on an area of 5,008.2 thousand hectares.
- Barley – 5,290.5 thousand tons on an area of 1,344.8 thousand hectares.
- Peas – 611.6 thousand tons on an area of 265.7 thousand hectares.
- Corn – 192.2 thousand tons on an area of 54.1 thousand hectares.
- Other grains and legumes – 801.1 thousand tons on an area of 291.5 thousand hectares.
Among the leaders in grain harvesting in Ukraine, it is worth noting Odesa region, Vinnytsia region, Kirovohrad region, and Khmelnytskyi region, which also made a significant contribution to the overall harvest. For example, Kirovohrad region harvested 2,208.4 thousand tons on an area of 535.5 thousand hectares.
The grain harvest in Ukraine this season shows positive trends, according to the ministry's data. The harvesting of grain in the amount of over 29 million tons has already been reported on more than 60% of the sown fields, indicating good yields and the efficiency of agricultural enterprises in Ukraine.
