According to Главком: The Ukrainian Football Association has launched a new away kit for the national team, designed by adidas. Featuring a modern design inspired by Ukrainian heraldry and the evolution of the national emblem, the kit marks a notable return of the adidas Originals Trefoil logo after an absence of more than thirty years. The shirt is a deep blue color, adorned with a geometric pattern across the chest and shoulders. This release is part of adidas's global launch of away kits for the international football season.
Squad and Playoff Schedule for World Cup Qualification
Alongside the kit reveal, the association announced the squad for the 2026 World Cup qualification playoffs. The team selection includes:
- 15 players from the Ukrainian Premier League;
- 11 players based abroad.
Dynamo Kyiv contributes the most players with six, while Shakhtar and Polissia have each provided four. A reserve list of nine additional players has also been named.
The playoff semi-final is scheduled for March 26, where Ukraine will face Sweden in a neutral venue in Valencia, Spain. The playoff final will be played on March 31. The winner of this decisive match will earn a place at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, to be hosted across the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
Ukraine will also begin the new UEFA Nations League season with an away match against Hungary on September 25. For the 2026/27 campaign, the team is in League B Group 2 alongside Hungary, Georgia, and Northern Ireland. The group winner will earn promotion to League A.
