Ukraine's national team jumped into the top-8 in Europe according to the FIBA ranking after two victories

FIBA has released its new ranking of European teams after the first qualifying window for the 2027 World Championship. The Ukrainian national team delights its fans by placing eighth in the top-10 after wins against Georgia and Denmark.

Currently, our national team holds the 8th position in the FIBA ranking. Our guys won both matches in the first qualifying window and are preparing for meetings with Spain in February and March 2026.

The Ukrainian team showed impressive results and won against Denmark with a score of 88:71. After two matches, they are already top-2 in their group. The next meetings will take place in February 2026.

After winning the first match against Georgia, our team continues to rise in the FIBA ranking. Kovlyar, Lypovyi, and Bobrov helped the team score points, but the best player of the match was Oleksandr Kovlyar, who earned 31 points.
