According to Главком: Ukraine's national futsal team has arrived in Slovenia for a friendly match scheduled for January 17, 2024, at 7:00 PM Kyiv time. This fixture serves as a vital preparatory step ahead of the Euro 2026 qualifying tournament, which will run from January 21 to February 7, 2026. Futsal, the fast-paced indoor version of football, is a popular and competitive sport across Europe.

Prior to traveling to Slovenia, the Ukrainian squad concluded a five-day training camp in Przemyśl, Poland. This camp was designed to prepare the players for a series of critical upcoming matches, including a playoff semi-final where Ukraine will face Sweden on March 26, 2026.
