Ukraine futsal team lost to Portugal: match details ahead of Euro-2026
According to glavcom.ua: The Ukrainian futsal team played their second friendly match against Portugal as part of their preparation for Euro-2026. After a draw in the first game, this time the Ukrainians lost with a score of 2:5. The Portuguese managed to use their experience and won after the first half, although goals from Korsun and Shved lifted the spirits of our team.

Goals: Pauleta (19), Brito (28), Neves (31), T. Paso (33, 39) – Korsun (33), Shved (38).
The Euro-2026 competition will take place from January 21 to February 7 in Riga, Kaunas and Ljubljana. After that, the Ukrainian team will prepare for the playoffs for World Cup qualification, where they will face two opponents.
In the semi-finals of the playoffs on March 26, 2026, the Ukrainian team will meet the Swedish team. If victorious, a final match is expected against the winner of the pair Poland – Albania. In the first stage of the World Cup qualifying, the Ukrainian team defeated Iceland with a score of 2:0.
A potential victory in the next matches will bring the Ukrainian team closer to participating in the World Cup and contribute to the further development of futsal in the country.
