Ukraine's national team has exited the World Championship in Socca: defeat by Kazakhstan in the quarterfinals

According to glavcom.ua: The Ukrainian national team has left the TUI Socca World Championship 2025 tournament at the quarterfinal stage, losing to Kazakhstan. The match ended in a draw 1:1, but in the penalty shootout, the opponents won with a score of 2:1. This was the third participation of the Ukrainian national team in this tournament, where it had previously reached the quarterfinals and finals.

The game of Socca is a team sport with a ball, similar to football, but with reduced rules and fewer players on the field. Ukraine also advanced from group D with a victory over Iceland 2:0 and is preparing for the qualifiers for the next World Championship to be held in North America. If successful, the Ukrainians will play in the semifinals against the winner of the match Poland - Albania.
