Ukrainian Team Achieves Success at Acrobatics World Cup

According to Главком: At the first stage of the Acrobatics World Cup in Portugal, the Ukrainian national team earned two silver medals. The mixed pair of Yevfrosyniia Kryvytska and Ivan Labunets took second place. Additionally, the men's group consisting of Volodymyr Repetiuk, Mykola Soroka, Mykola Khasanov, and Dmytro Borshchevsky also secured a silver medal on the podium.

Results of Other Ukrainian Competitors

Other Ukrainian athletes delivered solid performances. In the men's group final, the team of Stanislav Kukurudza, Yurii Savka, Yurii Push, and Taras Yarush finished in 5th place. Among men's pairs, Vladyslav Repetiuk and Maksym Markovskyi placed 5th, while Viktor Berezovskyi and Matvii Kosarev came in 6th. The women's group of Viktoriia Sukhonos, Alina Koval, and Viktoriia Tkach finished 7th.

This strong showing in acrobatics follows a challenging Winter Olympics for Ukraine. At the 2026 Winter Olympics, the Ukrainian team did not win any medals, though its athletes placed within the top ten in eight different events. Notable results from those Games included:

• 6th place for Angelina Brykina, Oleksandr Okipniuk, and Dmytro Kotovskyi in freestyle skiing aerials;
• 6th place for Yulianna Tunytska, Ihor Hoi, and other athletes in luge.

Other top-ten Olympic finishes for Ukraine were:

• 7th place for Oleksandra Moh and Olena Stetskiv in luge;
• 8th place for the biathlon team featuring Dmytro Pidruchnyi and others;
• 9th place for biathletes Oleksandra Merkushyna, Yuliia Dzhima, and others;
• 10th place for Kateryna Kotsar in freestyle skiing.

The national team continues to work on improving its results for future competitions.
