Ukraine won 6 medals at the World Cup in pankration: who became the champion
According to glavcom.ua: Ukrainian pankrationists showed excellent results at the World Cup held in Budapest, clinching six medals! Gold medals were awarded to Mykola Nykyforuk (62 kg), Yuriy Bohorodchenko (100 kg), Anna Bezhenar (50 kg), and Yevgenia Floryak (53 kg). Stanislav Dremlyuga (57 kg) won silver, while Valeriya Prokopiuk (75 kg) took bronze.
Ukraine also showcased itself favorably at the European Youth Olympic Festival, entering the top 10 of the overall medal table. Our athletes won 5 gold, 8 silver, and 10 bronze medals, making this performance the second most successful in history. The most medals were brought in by judo, but victories were also achieved in other sports.
At the World Summer Universiade, Ukrainian athletes continued to delight with victories, securing 12 medals, including 4 gold, 3 silver, and 5 bronze. Mykola Rushchak from Sumy won bronze in the 20-kilometer race walk, while Ukraine overall ranked 14th in the medal standings.
