Ukraine's Fire Point Drones Get a Major Upgrade

According to ХВИЛЯ: In his evening address marking the 1,578th day of the war, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy revealed that Ukraine's Fire Point drones have been modernized to hit targets as far as 3,000 kilometers away. The statement was released by the President's Office. He also noted that Russian forces launched over 200 attack drones across Ukraine that same day, striking regions including Zaporizhzhia, Donetsk, Sumy, Kharkiv, and Dnipro. This escalation highlights the ongoing intensity of aerial warfare in the conflict.

Battlefield Developments and Regional Implications

Zelenskyy stressed the critical need for air defense systems, anti-ballistic missile capabilities, and tougher sanctions against Russia. He further reported that four signal repeaters have been set up on Belarusian territory, specifically in the Gomel and Brest regions. These devices enable Russian troops to target Ukraine's Zhytomyr, Rivne, and Volyn regions. Ukraine has not stood idle: its long-range strikes have reached as far as Russia's Tyumen region, located more than 2,000 kilometers from the border.

'This war must end. We need peace.' Volodymyr Zelenskyy

The president indicated that Belarus still has time to dismantle this equipment and called for an end to the war, emphasizing the role of diplomacy. According to available data, Belarusian gasoline supplies to Russia surged 13-fold between January and May compared to the same period last year, while diesel deliveries tripled. These figures point to deepening economic and military cooperation between Minsk and Moscow.

As a result, the front-line situation remains highly volatile, with active combat operations on both sides. The modernization of Ukraine's drones and their extended strike range could significantly reshape battlefield strategy, while Belarus's support for Russian forces underscores a high level of bilateral coordination. Zelenskyy's appeal for peace highlights the importance of diplomatic efforts, yet the reality of ongoing hostilities shows that tensions remain at a peak.
