Ukraine's President Zelenskyy Announces 1500 Hryvnia Aid for Over 13 Million Citizens
Ukrainian President Announces Social Support Initiative
According to Главком: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has directed the government to prepare social support programs, which include a special payment of 1500 hryvnias for no fewer than 13 million citizens. This aid is intended for pensioners and individuals receiving social assistance. According to the president's statement, the funds are to be delivered without bureaucratic hurdles and will be automatically credited to those whose income levels indicate a need for support. This initiative comes as Ukraine continues to navigate significant economic pressures following the full-scale invasion.
Program Details and Implementation
The Ministry of Social Policy is tasked with preparing the program for April, and Prime Minister of Ukraine Yuliia Svyrydenko will present its details shortly.
"No fewer than 13 million Ukrainians will receive this additional payment, which will amount to 1.5 thousand hryvnias," stated Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
The goal of this measure is to support the most vulnerable segments of the population during a difficult economic period. The proposed changes reflect the Ukrainian government's efforts to enhance social protection and support its citizens amidst ongoing economic challenges. Automating the payment process aims to minimize bureaucratic obstacles, which could facilitate faster delivery of aid to those in need. These steps may have a significant impact on improving the welfare of families facing difficult financial circumstances.
