Zelensky and Macron discussed air defense, drones, and Eurointegration: conversation outcomes
During the conversation, the issue of strengthening Ukraine's air defense was discussed. In particular, the parties considered additional supplies of missiles for the SAMP/T and Crotale systems. Attention was also paid to funding the production of Ukrainian drones, for which France is ready to provide assistance.
On July 27, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky discussed issues of defense cooperation and European integration with French President Emmanuel Macron. Following the negotiations, the Ukrainian leader called the conversation 'good and substantive.'
Zelensky thanked for the training of Ukrainian pilots on Mirage aircraft and expressed hope that this cooperation would allow for the preparation of more pilots. The Ukrainian leader also reached agreements with Macron on a new prisoner exchange and holding a high-level meeting together with European representatives.
