Zelensky Awards Heroes-Rescuers and Guards: Who Received the Title
Awarding the Heroes of Ukraine
According to ДСНС: The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, recognized the heroism of rescuers and guards by awarding them titles and honors for bravery. Among the awardees is Major of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, Serhiy Babenko, who was awarded the title of Hero of Ukraine for his courage. Babenko made over 40 combat trips under fire, rescuing lives in Pokrovsk and Rodynske. He sustained serious injuries during an explosion in Slovyansk.
Awards for National Guard Soldiers
Additionally, the soldiers of the National Guard of Ukraine were also awarded. Senior Sergeant Viktor Ivanov (military unit 3017) and Chief Sergeant Viktor Bystro (military unit 3018) received the honorary award Cross for Combat Merit. Furthermore, 4 families of National Guardsmen received certificates for their own housing, which is an important step in supporting the military and their families.
Moreover, 4 defenders were posthumously awarded the title of Hero of Ukraine. These awards are a testament to the dedication and bravery of Ukrainian rescuers and guards who risk their lives for the sake of saving others.
