President Zelenskyy Awards Ex-MP Oleg Lyashko with Order of Merit
Oleg Lyashko Receives Presidential Honor
According to Главком: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has presented the Order of Merit, Third Class, to former parliamentarian and current serviceman Oleg Lyashko. The award recognizes Lyashko's service as commander of the unmanned aerial systems battalion within the 63rd Separate Mechanized Brigade, a unit which also received a separate commendation for its performance.
Senior Lieutenant Oleg Lyashko has served in this brigade for two years and was appointed battalion commander in 2025. Under his leadership, the battalion has become one of the top five units within Ukraine's Defense Forces. The battalion's award was presented by Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov.
Recognition of Service
Upon receiving the honor, Oleg Lyashko thanked the President, emphasizing that the award reflects the efforts of his entire battalion's personnel. He stated:
“Today, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy presented me with the Order of Merit. I thanked the President for this award, which is not only mine but belongs to all the personnel of the battalion I have the honor to command. I wished the President success. Because his success is our success, it is Ukraine's success.” - Oleg Lyashko
Lyashko also expressed sincere gratitude to his comrades and to the commander of the 63rd Brigade, Colonel Pavlo Yurchuk, for their support in bringing Ukraine's victory closer.
